Low Cloud on Harter Fell

Posted by Daniel Paulo on

On Sunday 19th January 2020, with a very good weather forecast, we set off to Haweswater after the usual Morrison's breakfast.  The road in was populated by a long stream of parked cars, and we ended up some way back from the small car park at Mardale Head.   Lots of blue sky, but the sun had not reached this side of the valley, and the road was perilously icy.  Cars didn't have a problem with this, but just walking to the gate at the start of the walk was a nervy affair.  At 11:45am we began with a steady climb...

On leaving the car park we turned left and followed the road to Helwith Bridge Quarry, from there taking the path up to Moughton Nab which runs along side Dry Rig Quarry. On this path there is a dramatic view point of the quarry which looks across to the gouged face of the quarry.       The quarry owners, Tarmac, have installed a...

Launch of Synthesizer Covers

Posted by Daniel Paulo on

We have just launch our first Synthesizer Dust Cover - for the Korg Minilogue -  which has been in development for the last few weeks.  Having recently bought a lovely Moog Matriarch Synthesizer I was keen for Ann to make a cover for it as she has done for previous purchases.  Whilst walking near Conistone a few weeks back we started brainstorming the idea of making covers for gadgets, and it made sense to use the much more compact Korg Minilogue to develop the idea which went through a number of prototypes. Now it is available we can look at...
