SUNDAY 22nd SEPTEMBER 2019. Visiting the MEGGER STONES of DENTDALE, CUMBRIA to explore them and DALESFOLK FROM THE PAST. Our walk began from Dent`s main pay and display car park (with toilets). Sunday 8th September 2019. Our second walk on Haworth Moors, trudging through the heather from Top Withens to Crow Hill. We parked the car once again at Ponden Reservoir and followed the same route as the last walk, up the gentle slope to the sign post of Top Withens.  This path is one of the ways tourist can visit the well known Top Withens, supposedly associated as the farm house in Emily Brontes famous novel 'Wuthering Heights'.  So therefore underfoot is a very well made up track (most of it being flag stones) leading you all the way to the ruin.  ...

Sunday 25th August 2019.  It was August Bank Holiday with glorious weather. Thinking that the motorway to the Lake District would just be so busy with traffic, we decided to head to Haworth Moors (we are very fortunate in that we live only 20 miles from Haworth) where it would be a lot more quieter to enjoy our walk. At last we saw our second Hattersley loom start to product cloth earlier this year (see here).  Set up to make Plain or Tabby Weave . Ann has used the first cloth from the machine to make these nice and roomy'slouch` bags  which are ideal for storing WIPs and carrying medium / large projects Four colourful variations are available.
