Eurorack Attenuator Module just launched

Posted by Daniel Paulo on

This is just a little experiment really, but some people may find it useful.  Having chunky fingers does not endear me to Eurorack, though I do think it's a brilliant way to create a truly personalised piece of synth hardware.  My own rack is very basic: Mutable Plaits, a Takaab triple LFO module, a Vermona MeloDicer and a Toppobrillo Quantimator (which I've barely used).  It's my beloved Matriarch which has been doing Attenuator duties previously and they are handy modules, even a small rig like mine wants 3 or 4 of them. Liam and I talked a lot about the...

Dust covers for Korg DW8000 and DW6000

Posted by Daniel Paulo on

I've recently acquired a beaten up Korg DW8000 (it doesn't look as good as the one in the pic here...), a synth which I have previously owned two of, and missed each time it was sold. It has probably been gigged a lot, and now had a problem with unresponsive switches, noisy volume slider with the sound cutting out, some unresponsive keys and hanging notes.  Ann's son, Liam (the brains behind the MIDI Controllers) replaced all 22 new switches and volume control, and I got a new OS chip.  After spending some time with the keyboard mechanism I just about...

Korg Prologue and Nonlinear Labs C15 dust covers

Posted by Daniel Paulo on

Just launched are three new dust covers. Having had a Korg Minilogue XD for some time I was amazed at how much better a playing experience was had when hooked up to a 5 octave keyboard - in other words a Prologue.  This great synth comes in 4 octave, 8 voice or a 5 octave, 16 voice version and we have covers for both: https://annstweed.com/collections/synthesizer-dust-covers/products/korg-prologue-synthesizer-dust-cover-8-or-16-voice Also, a very intriguing synth, the Nonlinear Labs C15, it is very unconventional and geared towards playing - no sequencing or even MIDI!  Sonically very exciting with very good payment options to ease the purchasing...

Launch of Synthesizer Covers

Posted by Daniel Paulo on

We have just launch our first Synthesizer Dust Cover - for the Korg Minilogue -  which has been in development for the last few weeks.  Having recently bought a lovely Moog Matriarch Synthesizer I was keen for Ann to make a cover for it as she has done for previous purchases.  Whilst walking near Conistone a few weeks back we started brainstorming the idea of making covers for gadgets, and it made sense to use the much more compact Korg Minilogue to develop the idea which went through a number of prototypes. Now it is available we can look at...
